Preventative Care is Key
Pregnancy is a time of rapid change, and among other things, you are faced with a lot of decisions. Some decisions will be easier than others and some your healthcare provider can help you decide, for example, which prenatal tests you should have.
Every pregnancy is different requiring varying amounts of screening and diagnostics. Some find tests help to relieve anxiety, while others don’t feel they are necessary at all. Some things to keep in mind when considering your options include:
Prenatal tests are a way of checking the health of a baby before birth.
There is no test that gives a 100% guarantee of a healthy baby.
Some tests give a very accurate result about the health of the baby, while others give an estimate or risk result.
Testing is always optional.
You will be faced with various types of tests throughout your pregnancy. Understanding the purpose of each is key to determining what is or isn’t right for you, which is why I invite you to join me for my next webinar, All About Prenatal Testing, on Wednesday, September 26th at 7:00 pm EDT.
My goal is to provide you the information, resources, and encouragement you need to help you understand typical prenatal testing!
