Guide to Inductions | Birth & Baby Doula Prep

  • High Country Doulas, LLC (map)

Pregnancy and labor can be an exciting journey! No matter if it’s your first, second, or third, every pregnancy is different. While some happen naturally, others may need to be induced for various reasons.

Labor induction has become much more common as people are becoming aware of the ways it may be beneficial for the health of both the pregnant person and the baby. Whether it is a medically indicated labor induction or elective labor induction, it’s important to understand the how and why so you can feel confident, aware, and excited for the birth of your baby.

As many as 16 percent of pregnancies being diagnosed with gestational diabetes and 8 percent of pregnancies may experience preeclampsia. These factors only contribute a fraction to the 20 percent of births that utilize labor induction!

Our goal is to provide you with the information, resources, and encouragement to make informed decisions surrounding labor induction, which is why we invite you to attend our next Birth & Baby Doula Prep | Learning Session, Guide to Inductions.
