It is with great love and excitement that we say 2018 was an unbelievable year for High Country Doulas!

We supported hundreds of new parents as they transitioned into parenthood. We launched a sleep consulting service, a scholarship program, and a free parenthood meetup group. We partnered with local health departments in over 10 counties, and presented to hundreds of local providers, parents, and community partners about the importance of doula care and important parenthood issues. And let’s not forget our amazing client feedback –– you’re words touched our hearts!

Most memorable of all, we passed our 2 years in business mark! When we opened our doors in December, 2016, we new it wouldn’t be easy. We were embarking on something completely new –– the first ever doula agency in our area. But our customers and community partners showered us with love and support. They cheered our small business on towards our mission of making doula care in the High Country more professional and accessible to local families.

High Country Doulas now employs 9 doulas and serves families in dozens of cities spanning as far East as Wilkes, NC, and as far West as Kingsport and Greenville, TN. And as an all-female company, we are proud that our small-business is able to support women in doing the important work that they are passionate about while also being compensated as professionals.

2018 was full of so much love and growth, and we anticipate that 2019 will bring on extraordinary changes as well!
