quality and ASSURANCE
Our PE Specialist are trained by the highest quality certifying organization of it's kind: ProDoula International.
Safety and professionalism are our highest priorities when it comes to your postpartum experience. Our placenta specialists follow all guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization as well as local laws and hospital policies and will prepare your placenta in the safest location possible; your home.
All of the equipment and supplies used while processing your placenta are one-time use packaged or have been sanitized using our rigorous multi-step sanitizing process.
And we NEVER prepare using a raw prep technique. HERE'S WHY.
Why "In-Home" Encapsulation Matters
Having your placenta encapsulated in your own home ensures that no possible outside contamination is possible from another person's home environment. It also guarantees that no mix-ups or cross-contaminations can occur between your placenta and another client's (sadly yes, this can happen when placentas are prepared outside of your own environment).
Also, because our Placenta Specialist are dually trained as Postpartum Doulas, you get the added benefit of spending time with our specialist in your home to discuss new babyhood, postpartum challenges, new babyhood, PE benifits, and detailed instructions on how to use your postpartum supplement.
HOW IT WORKS
When you book with our Placenta Specialist, you'll receive detailed, step-by-step instructions on what to expect. A storage cooler and safe transport kit will be provided for you to bring to the hospital to transport your placenta home. Your specialist will come to your home when notified to prepare your postpartum supplement in the comfort and safety of your own home.
The preparation itself involves steaming and dehydrating your placenta with a lovely aromatic blend of spices and herbs. Your placenta is then ground into a powder and distributed into roughly 125-150 capsules to be consumed throughout your early postpartum period.
Detailed usage guidelines are provided and you have 24/7 access to your specialist if any questions or concenrs should arise.
High Country Doulas guarantees that your placenta encapsulation is much more than receiving a box of pills.
We ensure an exceptional experience that contributes to a calmer, happier, and healthier postpartum period for your entire family.

"We were really intrigued to see the process of placenta encapsulation and our doula was so knowledgeable and passionate about the work she was doing. I'll admit I was a little nervous about "eating" my placenta at first, but after talking with Lis (our Postpartum Placenta Specialist) and seeing the passion she brought to handling and caring for my placenta, I began to realize the sacredness that is embedded in the work she is doing.
I tend to be an anxious person and have had trouble handling my emotions in the past, but have felt calm and stable during these first two weeks postpartum. I like to think that much of this has to do with the extra support from my placenta pills!"
